Conference 2010: EPA Code of Practice 2009 - Changes and Implications
IOWA’s 3rd Onsite Wastewater Conference and trade exhibition will be held at the Portlaoise Heritage Hotel on 5th May 2010 at 9.00 am.  

The focus on the conference will be the new Environmental Protection Agency Code of Practice for Wastewater Treatment and Disposal systems for Single Houses.  Speakers will include Lawrence Gill of Trinity College Dublin and technichal reviewer of the Code of Practice, Ivan Grimes from the Department of the Environment Heath and Local Government, Paddy Kavanagh from ESBI and the Western River Basin District, a Local Authority speaker and others.

The conference is open to anyone interested in attending and attractive discounts are being offered for multiple people from an organisation to include membership of IOWA.  The pre-conference fee for applications received by 30th April 2010 is €100 including a sit down lunch and membership of the association. The application form is available for download here.  Applications received after 30th April or on the day of the conference will be at the full fee of €120 including IOWA membership or €110 for the conference without membership.  A single room rate of €79 is available at the Heritage Hotel for those attending the conference.  Car parking is available at €5 per day in the car park linked to the hotel.  Exhibitor spaces are available at €350 each.

Previous conferences have attracted up to 300 people including site assessors, engineers, architects, co councils, installers, trainers, policy makers, regulators, system suppliers, tank manufacturers, maintenance people and others.  A large attendance is anticipated again.

University, educational, research and training persons in wastewater education, site assessors, engineers, architects and planning consultants, treatment system manufacturers, suppliers and installers, percolation area and polishing filter designers, installers and reviewers, council planners, regulators and inspectors, environmental protection staff, DOEHLG, policy makers and national overseeing and government staff, certification bodies, system operators and maintenance staff and anyone interested in wastewater soil treatment, infiltration and recycling.
